Lent

Well, I gave up FB for lent.  I didn’t realize how much I visit the darn site until I deleted it from my life (i.e. laptop, iphone, office computer).  It’s one of those handy sites I visit when I’m bored, or have a free second.  Ridiculous, I know.   At any rate, i’m moving on to better things now, like getting more done at work… and online shopping! 🙂  I’m sure my husband will be thrilled when he sees the visa bill…

On another note, I ended my diet last week.  I was on it for a total of 11 days and lost 8 lbs, 10 1/2 inches.  Which allows me to fit back into my skinny jeans!  Finally.  I didn’t realize the weight I put on over 9 months would take an additional 9 months to come off – blah!

About Momma-ista

I'm a wife and mother ~ which is mainly what you'll be reading about in this blog. A few fun facts: I have a new found passion for photography. I have a guilty pleasure of watching soap opera's and reality tv. I'm in biz dev for my mom's company. Recently I started donating my time to New Way Ministries - it's a great cause, and I get to do what I love best - marketing!

What diet were you on for 11 days to lose 8 pounds?! You must tell me! Living in a different country hasn’t been good for this body of mine!

HcG diet. It was really hard!! You essentially take a supplement (HcG) and have a very restricted diet of only 500 calories a day. The HcG makes it so your not hungry. I honestly felt like I ate MORE than less… because you’re eating every 2 hours or so. At any rate, it was really fast results, and I’ve managed to keep it all off. I knew that once I lost it, I would be okay with maintenance… I don’t know if you’d be able to do it in Honduras, as you have a nutritionist or doctor administer the program. (HcG isn’t over the counter). But another program I use, that’s helped me lose weight and track calories is my fitness pal (which is an app on my iphone but also is a website!). It’s super easy and works the same way as weight watchers. Highly recommend.

On a seperate note, I was hoping to go on the mission trip with our church in May/June to come see your operation and lend a helping hand, but unfortunately it didn’t work out. I really want my little sister (she’s 16) to come with me… so hopefully NCCTK will plan another trip there, soon! Praying for you guys! *HUGS*
